Allied Health Insights Vol.2, No.20: Building a community of practice for advanced AHPs

Achieving the “right care, at the right place, at the right time” for our health services requires not only a paradigm shift in our approach to healthcare, but also the creation of new roles that can facilitate a robust and sustainable healthcare system. One such solution lies in the development of advanced practice roles, both in Australia and abroad.

Advanced practice (AP) offers allied health professionals the opportunity to deepen their expertise, drive improved patient outcomes, and facilitate healthcare service transformation.

By diversifying roles, encouraging lifelong learning, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, AP enhances healthcare delivery and has the potential to improve the efficiencies and efficacy of primary care.

  • The Advanced Practice Collective is a community of practice for advanced allied health practitioners, as well as AHPs with an interest in evolving their skillset, offering access to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) resources, live webinars, and realtime discussion.
