Working with clients with a disability provides allied health professionals with a unique opportunity to perform rewarding and challenging work, funded by the NDIS. Catering to the diverse range of disabilities in Australia can be daunting, however.

Guest presenter Tommy Trout, Founder of WeFlex, will unpack the social model of disability and the complex nature of support needs as well as accessibility, providing attendees with the tools and encouragement to begin or continue working with people with disability.

Attendees will gain

  • An understanding of the social model of disability
  • Improved ability to gauge, understand and meet the support needs of clients with a disability
