

Dr Olivia King
SENIOR CONSULTANT
Olivia is an allied health researcher and educator. She is the manager of Western Alliance Academic Health Science Centre’s Regional Research Capacity Building Program. She also holds an Adjunct Research Associate position with the Monash Centre for Scholarship in Health Education.
She is a qualified podiatrist, credentialed diabetes educator, and an early career researcher, having completed her PhD in 2018.
Through her PhD, she explored the role boundaries and scopes of practice in diabetes education, a post-professional area of clinical practice. She is passionate about developing research capacity in the health sector, particularly allied health.
She has primarily undertaken qualitative research and her research interests include, interprofessional role boundaries, allied health workforce, sociology of the professions and health professions education. She has published 12 peer-reviewed journal papers and has delivered more than 20 presentations at local, national, and international conferences.
