Alison is a registered nurse with more than 40 years’ international experience undertaking research, policy development and project management, as well as holding senior management, academic, and clinical roles in a range of settings and countries including Australia, Canada, Ireland, Indonesia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Indonesia, Spain, the UK, and the USA.

She has extensive knowledge and understanding of different health systems, workforce redesign, and models of health regulation, and has undertaken reviews and redesigns of workforce needs and practices, scopes of practice, regulatory processes, and development of competency assessment and credentialling processes for nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives, and allied health professionals.
