The 9th Rural and Remote Health Scientific Symposium is brought to you by the Australian Rural Health Education Network (ARHEN), the Federation of Rural Australian Medical Educators (FRAME), the Lowitja Institute and the National Rural Health Alliance (NRHA).
It will bring together the rural and remote health research sector with policy makers and others in the government and non-government sectors to shape the future of rural and remote health research.
The theme of the symposium is ‘Connecting research, practice and communities’
The Symposium is being held in Canberra, ACT and will offer the opportunity for general presentations; high quality keynote speakers; concurrent and poster sessions.
Who should attend
The 9th Symposium will provide the opportunity for delegates to learn, mentor, contribute and network.
Academics, researchers, policy makers, health professionals, and those from the government and not-for-profit sector are encouraged to attend and to share their knowledge and journey.
Call for abstracts
The call for abstracts for the 9th Rural and Remote Health Scientific Symposium: Connecting research, practice and communities will remain open until the 20th of February.
Abstracts are invited for a variety of presentation types including 20-minute oral presentation, a 15‑minute lightning talk, poster presentations or interactive workshops. The final program will be determined after all abstracts received have been reviewed by the Abstract Review Committee.
Registration inclusions
Full, speaker and concession registrations include access to the Symposium for two days from Tuesday 20 June 2023 & Wednesday 21 June 2023. Your registration fee covers arrival tea and coffee, morning tea, working style lunch, afternoon tea and includes a ticket to the welcome reception on the Tuesday evening.
Day registration entitles delegates to all sessions, including arrival tea and coffee, morning tea, working style lunch and afternoon tea on the day of registration only. It does not include the welcome reception.
