
Rehabilitation Consultant – Occupational Therapist

A dynamic Canberra-based team seeks an Occupational Therapist for a Rehabilitation Consultant role.
As a Rehabilitation Consultant, the successful incumbent will assess, plan, organise, and participate in workplace rehabilitative programs to help clients achieve positive return to work outcomes. You will see a range of clients, predominantly under the Worker’s Compensation.
They will also assess the worker’s transferable skills and potential through various means including:
- Early intervention assessments
- Home assessments
- Worksite assessments
- Job task analyses
- Ergonomic assessments
- Case management services
Strong communication skills will be required to liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including:
- Insurance companies
- Medical practitioners
- Employers and employees
The successful candidate would also be required to contact employers to enquire about potential jobs and marketing the WorkSafe Incentive Scheme for Employers to organisations.
This is a full-time position, with consideration given to part-time (4 days per week).

Selection Criteria
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- Full AHPRA registration
- Excellent writing skills and experience writing reports
- Outstanding communication and networking skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia
- Australian driver’s license
