An experienced and highly motivated Occupational Therapist is sought for this expanding and highly reputable private practice in Newcastle.
The successful candidate will work in a clinic and/or mobile setting with children of varying needs and will have demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team. In addition, they will have excellent time management skills and oral and written communication skills. Experience in Paediatric OT and/or working with children is desirable but not essential. The successful applicant will be required to independently assess and treat children from 2 years to 18 years.
The caseload includes children with:
- Sensory Processing Disorders
- ADHD
- ASD
- Learning difficulties
- Motor coordination challenges, and
- Other developmental, learning, and behavioural difficulties.
Full and part-time options are available, including Telehealth. Hours/days of work are negotiable, and salary will be set depending on the level of experience. Short-term contracts are also available for Working Holiday Visa holders.

Selection Criteria
- Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Professional membership/registration with OT Australia and/or AHPRA.
- Willingness to be on the road.
- Current First Aid Certification.
- Current working with children check.
- Specific experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders & Sensory Processing Disorders
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional education.
- Current driver’s license and use of own car where required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with therapists, parents, teachers and children
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia
